About the Institute of HeartMath®
The Institute of HeartMath®, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Corporation, is a recognized, global leader in researching the physiology of heart-brain communication through leading-edge research in psychophysiology, biophysics and neurocardiology. IHM is dedicated to deepening the understanding of coherence and its application to the individual, community, and humanity at large, and doing so through the rigors of science.
Our
19 years of research, (with the insightful innovations of its founder, Doc Childre) into heart intelligence is applied to our practical and easy-to-use solutions, designed to empower individuals to transform stress, fine-tune their performance, and foster greater health and well being.
This newfound empowerment results in one’s ability to generate higher levels of personal coherence—which is the purpose behind all of our programs and services.
At a basic level it might be helpful to think of coherence as the opposite of chaos. Another way to look at it is that improved synchronization between the heart and brain, mind and emotions cushions the affects of day to day stress.
Improved coherence empowers individuals to tap into their own natural creativity, regenerative strength, healing resources and intuitive wisdom.
Simply stated, Coherence empowers. But what exactly does it empower?
To give just a few examples, coherence empowers one’s ability to:
- experience higher levels of health through improved immunity and hormonal balance
- effectively manage levels of stress and move through life’s tough spots with greater ease and grace
- form constructive, sustainable, win-win relationships
- perform at work, play, or school with higher levels of energy, creativity and resilience.
IHM is dedicated to providing high value services and products to meet the needs of educators and individuals like you. Join us today in our mission for building a more coherent environment in the home, the workplace the classroom and ultimately on our planet.
