Purchase of emTech products does not give you a license to use the emTech or HeartMath brands in advertising or
marketing, nor in any way imply that you are a licensed or certified trainer of the HeartMath® system
techniques, nor to charge fees specifically for the use of emTech products by others. If you are interested in becoming licensed to

EMTECH PRODUCTS AND COHERENCE
HeartMath programs and products teach people about psychophysiological coherence and how to shift to this state, as described and defined by the
Institute of HeartMath’s published scientific research. The Institute is credited with first describing and defining the concepts of
physiological and psychophysiological coherence and researching and developing the methodologies to accurately measure coherence. The first
scientific publications describing coherence were published in peer-reviewed journals in 1993, although the concepts were taught in HeartMath
programs even earlier. The first use of the term “cardiac coherence” was published in 1996 in a HeartMath paper titled: Cardiac
Coherence: A new non-invasive measure of autonomic system order. Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine. 1996;2(1):52-65.
